Virginia Family Law Appeals: "We do not accept the veracity of conclusions of law camouflaged as factual allegations or inferences."

Richard Edelin Crouch practiced in Virginia's appellate courts for over 40 years, and practiced family law almost exclusively from 1983 to 2018, when he retired. From 1991 to 2014 he analyzed every significant Virginia family law appeal case for the Virginia State Bar's family law quarterly. This blog contains both past and current case notes. Continuing his work, I try to comment on the ongoing development of the law, and help other lawyers, journalists and the public understand individual cases.
